KTM Duke 200 Preview


Finally, the wait for KTM Duke 200 technical specification is now over. KTM Sports AG has disclosed the technical specification of KTM Duke 200 in EICMA 2011 (69th International Motorcycle Exhibition Milan) at Milan. Indian bike enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for KTM Duke 200, which is soon to be launched in India by Bajaj Auto (Bajaj Auto owns nearly 40% in KTM Power Sports, AG). KTM Duke 200 was launched in Malaysia and Middle East before, but the specification was not disclosed by the company.
KTM Duke 200 is designed for young and passionate bike enthusiasts. Basically, it has similar technical specification as Duke 125. But what is so special in the specification for Indian bike enthusiasts let’s have a look.

KTM 200 Duke Official Specs Revealed

200 cc, 25 bhp, 125 Kgs dry weight.. which means CBR250R equaling power but around 30 Kgs lesser weight than the CBR250R..!!

KTM has officially made public the specifications of the 200 Duke, the model from KTM which is headed for India. The peak power output of the 200 Duke has surprised most by equaling Honda CBR250R's 25 bhp..!!

The dry weight of the 200 Duke according to specs is 125 Kgs which means that the Kerb weight should not be more than 135-137 Kgs. Even at 135 Kgs the 200 Duke remains a good 30 Kgs lighter than the CBR250R (167 Kgs, Kerb weight). This could just mean one thing, twist the throttle of the KTM 200 Duke and unleash the hooligan in you..!!

Video: 2012 KTM 690 Duke Teaser


Austrian bike maker KTM has released a teaser video for its flagship model 690 Duke. The 690 Duke is considered to be the most powerful single cylinder bike across the globe.
The 2012 model of this bike will sport twin-spark cylinder head, ride-by-wire throttle and an optional Bosch ABS brakes. The bike is designed to attract the younger generation of bikers, which is why the bike has adopted most of its design cues from its youngest sibling – KTM 125 Duke.
